National Dairy Council (NDC) set to inspire taste buds at the National Ploughing Championships 2013. The NDC tent will showcase the use of Irish dairy in recipes at the event which runs from September 24 to 26 in Laois. Chef Phelim Byrne will host free cookery demonstrations in the tent, which will also feature sports stars promoting the positive affect of milk in sports nutrition. Research from Loughborough and Northumbria Universities has shown the rehydration benefits of milk after exercise as well as its key role in muscle damage recovery.
